Helen Keller Touring Art Show 2014 3
 
An annual juried exhibtion of works by Alabama children with visually impairment, blindness or deaf-blindness. The exhibition was established in 1983 as a cooperative project of the UAB School of Optometry, the University of Alabama-Birmingham Vision Science Research Center Education and Outreach Module and the UAB School of Education. The exhibition tours throughout the state and is displayed here at the Museum during the Helen Keller Festival each year. 
 
Winner of the Patty Johnson award sponsored by the Helen Keller Foundation Board:
Sarah Thomas, a student at Paine Elementary, Trussville Al. Artwork title: “Rainbow Dash” 
 
Winner of the Colbert County Board of Tourism and Convention Bureau:
Grey Mayfield, a student at The Helen Keller School at AIDB. Artwork title: “Clock”
